was in pawn shop today picked up a master pro 19mm wrench and 9/16 sk socket for $1.50 was just wondering who makes master pro its marked made in usa thanks

Purchased a box full of all types of sockets yesterday. Lots of creamy knurled Husky and S-K. In the mix was this Master Pro 3/8 drive 3/8 deep socket. I too am unfamiliar with this brand. It has the double dash (=) markings that we often see on Stevens-Walden sockets. Oh, and I attached pictures...enjoy!

I do not recall seeing those marks on Walden stuff.
Thorsen did that. (the two dashes can also be seen on SOME Giller product (fifth image in string middle of image.)
and
Proamerica/KAL
and
National Tool out of Dallas.

ProAmerica manufactures most of its product for private-label accounts. (ProAmerica/KAL/Emporium Forging = all one and the same)
National Tool manufactured ONLY for private-label accounts.

The private-label KLEIN sockets are not marked with either part number or manufacturer's name.

Exactly what I thought but when I checked a couple of my Thorsen and KAL sets, no = markings. My 1/4 drive Walden 3000 series have the =

^ You don't see those "dashes" on older Thorsen stuff - only on the later production product.

I had a whole bunch of stuff typed out and deleted it.
I THINK (but have NO way of supporting it with evidence) that National Hand Tool of Dallas (subsequently acquired by Stanley) was making sockets and drive tools for a number of companies, among them Granco, JS Technology, Thorsen, Klein, and Giller.

WHY would Thorsen (then of Dallas, Texas) have need to outsource their bread-and-butter 3/8" drive ratchet? That doesn't make sense.
But if they DID outsource it, who would they go to?
S-K ? (who is suggested as a possible source of JS tools?) I don't believe that. S-K is too spendy - they'd have no margin to play in.
And if they DID outsource a ratchet, why would it be a Kilness-patent (New Britain) design? Maybe because Stanley bought National?
How about that JS Kilness-patent design ratchet? It's suggested that S-K made product for JS, but why would they make Kilness-patent design models? That doesn't make sense.
