I bought one a month or so ago. So far it has worked on everything I've tried. It is euro/asian biased I'd say but does work on domestic. It is reverse engineered so the code descriptions are sometimes different than they are supposed to be. I have a snap on at work to compare it to and it is not a snap on bit it is pretty impressive. I can't imagine you'd be dissatisfied. Btw the data works very well and is customizable. The graphing is ok but not great. I use it a lot.

Updates are expensive. I was told $250 by the guy at autel when I asked some questions before buying. I paid $250 for the rig so I probably won't update every year. I put a reminder in my phone to update before the year is up. And yes it came with a case.

I don't think the 802 is a year old yet. As I recall they were clearing out the 801 just before Christmas, making way for the 802.
Thanks for the feed back....that ***** on the Updates........that's the berries. So are you thinking that doing every other year would be good as far as updates are concern? Again thanks for your time.

Not sure yet. Probably when I really need to. The generic side of the tool will be available for most stuff but its nice to have abs especially. I'll just play it by ear. There could be more options for a new/better tool by then for about the same cost as an update and it would make sense to upgrade, who knows?. Btw the scan tool we have at work is only updated every couple of years sine we generally are not going to be working on brand new vehicles.
250 for a update is CHEAP.
Yes, compared to high end brands. I mean relative to the 250 I spent on the tool brand new.
