Mechanic work shoes

I've worn out my red backs. I have no desire for heavy steel toe boots. They need to be black and have the glancing appreance of a boot, but they don't care. I've been looking at light weight under armour tactical shoes. Anyone have some?

No I don't have any, not sure I'd want anything like that in a shop environment.

I wear Keen steel toes at work and at home in the garage. I will take the protection of steel toes over the light weight of no protection all day. Boots are overkill at my job. I do prefer boots at home if I'm going to be welding though.

The red backs last the longest for me I have been using the boot shoes laptop for years stay away from there bluetounge line that do not last nowhere near as long

I have heard good things about coastal boots aswell snap on brand I believe

Wolverine Carbonmax. Same/similar protection as steel toes without the weight.
They've got got that tech in many different styles of shoes.

I have always worn the HI-TECH Magnums. have one pair steel toe one pair non-steel toe. I like them as they are very lite weight and no break in period. can be on my feet all day with no issues.

Not worried about steel toe. Haven't had it in years and have no desire to have it. Too much weight for me I'm running around all day. Usually walk 8-10 miles on a moderate day

I wear Puma, they offer steel toe and non steel toe. Very comfortable and in shop environment I get a couple years out of them. Prices vary but no more then $135. I hate steel toe and boots so took me a while to find ones I liked.

We have to wear safety toes at work, and I also don't like the weight. I go for composite instead of steel as it's so much lighter. I've worn 'Timberland Pro' and 'Reebok Work' in the past, the latter were the better of the two, but for the last several years it's been 'Skechers for Work'.

I bought one pair of Skechers on a whim off Amazon just because they were on sale for ~$30 a pair and I hadn't wore them one day before I realized they were by far the most comfortable work shoes I'd ever worn. I ordered 6 more pair that night when I got home (my work gives us $100 yr shoe allowance so I got more than half my money back). That was almost 3 years ago and I still have 3 pair still in boxes. They are still the most comfortable and on top of that I've found them to be the most durable safety toe'd sneakers I've ever worn. I don't think I ever got 6 months out of a pair of shoes at work before them.

I always wear a hole through the top of the toe box. If it wasn't for the steel toe, people would see my socks.
