mercury light vs soffit lights

Hey guys!
I need some light for the outside of my pole barn. i like the thought of a big mercury light lighting up the approach, however theyre not very attractive.. those soffit lights sure do look nice.

Mercury Vapor is obsolete, a metal halide or high pressure sodium wall pack would be a good choice.

You have the problem defined.

One big, bright but ugly light.
Or multiple, artistic, smaller ones.

It has to be your decision.
