i think i came up with a good solution to shipping tools and the problems with the flat rate envelopes being refused for not being flat or being taped or things disapearing from them.
usps has a new flat rate bubble mailer. measures 9.5 x 12.5 not available in post office, have to order them (free) from usps site. shipping cost is 4.95
then buy some poly mailers. these are those super tough plastic envelopes, self adhesive flap and you cant see through them. i found them for 8 cents each per 100 here http://www.upaknship.com/p-107-9x12-poly-mailers.aspx
put tools in the poly mailer then put that in the flat rate priority envelope.
note that i dont think paypal has these new envelopes as an option yet, but you can do the label through the usps site.
