MHF wire for RV 50A plug?

We are needing to get electricity to a RV. From our panel, the distance is 400'. On the other end, a simple 50A outlet will be installed to plug the RVs big extension cord into. The calculations I've done suggests either #2 Copper or #4Al. I have been reading about mobile home feeder wire (2-2-4-6)and that seems like the way to go. I especially like that option because we can direct bury it and save on the cost of PVC for 400'. Is a 50A breaker in the panel big enough to handle wire that big? Also, is this the best option for wire? Price wise is seems like the best option these days. I appreciate any advice on this job!

Look up the breaker for your panel and see what it's rated for. I bet it will be a struggle. You could always connect to the breaker with a smaller piece of copper then transition to the MHF in a junction box outside the main panel

MHF is basically the cheapest option if you aren't running conduit. If you were, xhhw might be a little cheaper.

At 50a and 400', #2 will be a 5% voltage drop, which may not play well with some of your stuff. That said, if your actual draw is less, you are probably fine
