Microtorch repair

I have a few of these, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001HWC8XW/?tag=atomicindus08-20. They have been sitting around for a few years and I went to fill them with butane and it just leaked back out. Pretty sure it's coming from the seal where you refill with butane. Is there an oring or something that I can take these apart and replace? Hate to just throw them away if it's just a simple seal of some kind!

Anybody have one of these? Can I take the refill valve out and try and see what is wrong? I've never taken one of these apart before. I really liked these torches and used them for heat shrink and what not but let them sit for a couple years and now they just leak when I try and fill them.

I've never rebuilt one, but thrown a few away. I suppose you have nothing to lose by disassembling and trying to replace the orings.

Thrown them away because they leak out the fill valve or for other issues?

Little update:

I got a chance to look at these today. I started with a little bernzomatic pen torch. I took it apart and put new orings on the fill valve and that solved that leak but then it was leaking out the top. I took the top apart and tried to put new orings in but I couldn't get it to seal up. So this one got thrown away.

I moved on to one of the microtorches and fixed the fill valve. The orings were pretty dry rotted. Filled it up and no leaks. Fired right up. I have one more to do and see if that one can be saved.

I have a fairly decent selection of orings, bought a bunch of different sizes when I needed to rebuild some air guns. So all it cost was some time. Not sure it would be worth it if I didn't have all the sizes of orings I needed.

Hi my micro touch by benz0matic seems to be leaking at the 1234 port where you adjust the gas have u fixed a leak like this b4?

They seem to have many tiny parts inside. I often see tiny rubber / plastic hoses that seem to degrade as well. I have not had good luck repairing these. But I still always rip them apart if I can before I throw them away just to make sure. Good Luck.
