That's great work on the trellis. Are you worried about wind? We had a big storm blow through here over the 4th of July that tipped over some ceramic end tables we had on our patio. I was shocked they could blow over since they are only about 18 inches tall, 12 inches wide and maybe 15 pounds. One of them broke.
I know you want simple but you might want to secure them (and I'm sure you'll think of something simple and elegant).
Sometime letting go a project is a bigger lift than doing the project but it sounds like it went to the right person.
