What is the question??

Do you need recommendations for 1/4" hex impact rated accessories?

I just use a 1/4" drive impact adapter and any 1/4" drive chrome sockets you have. Most of the time on small fasteners there really isn't enough impacting to worry about damaging a socket. If you are having to just let it keep hammering on fasteners it's time to move up to a 3/8 drive actual impact

I have the same tool, which is a supplement to my M18 4th gen Fuel impact driver. I'm not going to say it's ok but I've been using HF/Pittsburgh chrome sockets & etc with my 4th gen M18 Fuel impact driver at work daily for almost 3 yrs now. Never broke a socket. I have absolutely no worries using chrome with my M12 Subcompact.

20-25 yrs ago I using my chrome Snap-on sockets with my IR 3/8 air impact, same story. Which I still have, they just live at home now.

Again, I'm not going say it's ok but I don't think twice & I don't worry, of course I still take the basic precautions as I learned decades ago. Now I do own 3/8 & 1/2 impacts sockets but I don't use em at work. With 1/2 impacts guns I've always used impact sockets & still do. But at my current job I don't have a need for a 1/2 impact so again all that stuff stays at home too.

Lug nuts, use an impact socket
1/4" 8mm nut or bolt, your chrome socket will be just fine. I would be more concerned about the hardware than the tools.

I only use chrome on mine, haven’t yet cracked one. Can always buy some cheap 1/4” impact sockets off it worries you

I have, occasionally, cracked chrome sockets with an impact driver.

It was always when the setting was too high.

I have also broken hex shank socket drivers when impact drivers were set too high.

I run a 3/8 adapter in mine (like this one) with chrome sockets.. no issues yet.

Or use the 1/2" adapter and a set of impact sockets, that should work too. (y)

I try to use non chromed impact rated sockets with my 1/4 “ drivers, but when needed I will use a chrome socket and extension.

The 1/4” driver doesn’t really produce enough impact energy to hurt the chrome sockets.

Get a set of driver socket bits with the magnetic inserts. They’re handy for small fasteners.

For larger 3/8” and 1/2” impact wrenches, it’s 99.9% impact rated sockets. I have them, so why not use them?

The 1/4” driver sees mainly Torx screws or pole barn/ electrical hex screws, or low torque requirement fasteners for assembling things like today’s project, a cheap imported firewood rack from Menards.

I’m trying to use up / pare down the inventory of Phillips and Robinson square drive fasteners.

Don't ask.
I haven't cracked any but have did round out some 12 point sockets with my M18 driver. 6 points hold up better but still get sloppy after repeated use.
I have a fairly complete set of impact rated sockets (1/4. 3/8 and 1/2").

Chrome sockets and impact adapter is fine on smaller fasteners like 8,10 and 12mm. That is the combo I use most often. I prefer an extended length wobble adapter and socket over the nut driver style. I have used a 3/8 drive adapter but when you get to 14mm or bigger I think it's better to move up a 3/8 impact and impact sockets.
