No, the outdoor is marked also n1, 2, 3 and ground symbol last from left to right. So you are saying that as long as same wire is on matching exterior and interior units, it should be fine?

That's correct. If you look at page 18 or 19 of the Gree installation instructions, there's a diagram showing the terminal numbers on both units as well as the colors of the various wires, but the important part of the diagram is that it shows each wire connecting to matching terminals on both units. Colors are merely a convenient method of identifying the various wires. Unfortunately, one wire manufacturer's definition of "blue", or whatever color, doesn't necessarily make a perfect color match with the same named color from another manufacturer.

Thanks. Been away from project few days. Will continue this weekend. Will be getting exterior unit mounting bracket and ducting kit to hide away lines and hoses. I really want to use a hole insert to put into hole and feed lines, wire and drain through but can't find anything. Maybe a 3.5 in pvc piece or simply use some liquid foam? Any one had any experience using something?

I'm ready to stick ac lines, wire and drain tube through wall. Before i do so, just wanted to follow up on a previous question but with a pic. As seen in pic, i connected 4 terminals to lugs. If you see just above, there are 3 more lugs. The unit did come with a second set of wires with three terminals. I wonder if it also needs to be connected there?.

It would be pretty hard to do so as there is no room to loosen lugs to be able to stick terminals in there. I just want to be sure the interior unit will have power with wires already hooked up. Thanks!

I have the manual. It instructs to connect the power cable into the appropriate color terminals on interior unit. It then concludes with a this is just for reference wiring, refer to unit for specific wiring. Kind of vague i guess. I posted pics of model numbers for inside and outside units as well as packaging box. Thanks so much.

Ok, back on project. Seems I will have a bit of excess line set left after connecting to exterior unit. Are coils ok to have and in vertical form or does line need to be straightened out then connected? I'll post a pic.

Cut it and reflare if you are within the proper line set lengths. gree recommends not using the flares that come on the line set. Use the flare fittings that come on the unit and in the package.

Yea lines already flared. There no fittings that came in the package. Also, 10 ft is the length recommmended and that's about how long lines are.

Ok i think the excess coils didn't turn out to be that much once lines hooked up to unit. Now i just wqnt to be sure whip wires coming into outdoor unit is correct. I followed instructions for wiring in the disconnect box, though haven't connected wires from pannel yet, but where do wires go from disconnect box? I figured where the green one goes.

also, are little brackets at the end necessary? The 12/2 wire i got at home depot is just solid wire. It doesn't have the little brackets at the end like the inteconnecting black wire that came with unit.
