Hi, I have been using the search function extensively but have quickly gotten overwhelmed with the choices in mini splits. I live in central Virginia and am interested in heating and cooling a pre-fab 14x32x8 garage that is on order. It will have 4 2'x3' windows, one double house door, and one single house door. walls will be 2x4 with r13 and OSB interior, ceiling will be r19 with OSB interior.

My initial thought was Mr. cool 18,000 as I do not have HVAC experience and am on a limited budget. My concern is I am reading they do not heat very well, and with our winters occasionally hitting single digits may not work well through that. I am also looking into Gree as I could order from home depot, install, then just have a local HVAC guy come pull the lines down and charge the system.

Any help is greatly appreciated and I apologize for the long post. trying to be as detailed as I can. :)

From what I gathered the mr cool 18 is supposed to put out 12k heat at 5f.
I saw that somewhere in the product Q&A.

That should be enough. If you get colder than that I think even a little electric heater will supplement the space.

Thank you for the quick reply, I was hoping to go that route but wasn't sure if the stats held up in real world use.
