My home is heated by propane and wood. I'm doing o.k. with those for now.
Someday I would like to add a heat pump but its years and years away.
(I think?) Wondering about heating/cooling the center room of our house which is not heated because its an atruim that use to house a hot tub.
As you can see by the picture it has full skylights. 15'x15' the back wall is about 14' high and slopes down to about 12? its closed off to the rest of the house by windows and doors.
My question is is there a mini split that will handle that space. Its the only room in the house that really gets hot. And really cold in winter.
My wife loves the room so it would be worth sending some money to make it more comfortable.

Part II, We have been thinking about opening it up by removing some doors and windows to open up the house to that room.

Now that I have you :headscrat any ideas?

There are certainly mini-splits that can handle the load. It would probably be a great option since you can heat and cool the most used room in the house without conditioning the entire house.
