Hi Guys, hopefully this isn't an over asked question. I'm getting ready to mount my Mr Cool mini split, and while reading the instructions I see that it says to mount the inside unit 3 feet away from other electrical appliances....like a tv. That totally screws up my plan for a mounting spot. I can get it a foot away but not 3 feet from my tv. Is it really necessary to keep it that far away ???

Interesting...I just installed a Pioneer unit a couple of months ago, and nothing like that was mentioned in the manual. I have a stereo receiver and speakers within three feet of the wall unit, and haven't noticed anything weird.
Good deal, I was hoping that it was some kind of freak thing. Thanks for the reply !

There are warnings in most minisplit manuals about radio interference, I have never noticed any issues, but then again I don't have a pacemaker.

Most remote controls are either IR or RF. IR control has the bulb in the end pointing at the controlled devise. The RF doesn't and the other like a fire stick uses blue tooth. Call Mr Cool ask them about what your going to be by. Have a problem with a IR control can take your phone camera point it at the bulb press control and the camera will light up on the screen.

Believe the reference to possible interference is not due to the remote but variable frequency drives giving off possible interference through out the system, which is unlikely; VFDs do give off radio waves, but design engineers have ways of mitigating it . Unless your placing the condenser unit sitting on top of you TV which is using an antenna, I would not give it a thought.

I think this is right too.. HDMI can be AC power sensitive.. But 3' away is going to be fine...
