Minimum current max lumens

I'm setting up a mobile office in a trailer. I want nice ambient lighting with the minimum current draw at 120V and I'm not crazy about florescent. Are there any new options like LED rope lights that can beat the current draw?

The best for minimal current draw is LED. There are all styles of LED bulbs available, but be prepared to dig deep into your wallet.

I don't necessarily agree with that. LED doesn't beat fluorescent hands down in a lumens per watt match. In fact, T8 often comes out way ahead.

Lighting an office in a trailer has unique difficulties, due to the low ceiling height.
LED, being a small light source may not be your best bet. What exactly is it about fluorescent you don't like?
