I was just at a local pawn shop looking for a missing socket from my grandfathers Williams socket set. I didn't find the one I was looking for but came across 4 other "vintage" sockets. I know the BAHCO isn't vintage but it is SAE.
From left to right based upon info from alloy artifacts:
BAHCO 801128 7/8" 6pt 1/2" drive
Hinsdale SR12 3/8" 12pt 1/2" drive. I saw no similar sockets on alloy artifacts, most had some sort of knurling or grooves. From some of the wrenches and the logo I am thinking 1940s, probably late since it is chrome?
Unknown 25-32" 12pt 1/2" drive USA. I grabbed it thinking Indestro but I am not sure about that knurl pattern now.
Blackhawk 35322 11/16" 12pt 3/8" drive. It is very nice condition looks like it might not have even put on a bolt. It is marked with a "2" indicating 1942 date based on alloy artifacts. They mention that based upon a catalog it is "possible" to find 1942 tools with cadmium war finish since the catalog did mention that finish was subject to change. This socket if in fact the socket is 1942 it shows the cadmium finish was used in '42.
I figured I would post all of my vintage tools here for others to see and to see if I can get any further input. If you need further info picts of any tool please let me know I will try to get info.
