Monoset Collets

Does anybody have a contact or info on the best place to buy Monoset/Toolmaster "C" collets? My dad has a Cincinnati Mill and cannot find collets for it anywhere. I know Ebay is pretty popular, but he prefers not to go that route (bad experiences).

Anybody have any old tricks for modifying the mill to accept more common collets?

Any help would be appreciated.

Not my area of experience, but I'd suggest calling a spindle grinder to inquire about having it reground to R8 or something more common, last I knew Wells Index did regrinds fairly cheaply (<$300 IIRC). There's also several other small companies that specialize in it.

I have a Toolmaster. Monosets are EXPENSIVE!!!! I lucked out and found a set of 8 for $200. The guy selling them had no idea. I looked into having it recut to a common collet size. The collets are kind of large. I "think" a B&S is the closest in size. R8 is out because there is no place to mount a drawbar. I would try to find a large (1" plus) collet and have an adapter ground with that size shank. What size table does yours have?

The only issue I see with the adapter idea, is that Toolmasters dont have a lot of throat.
