OK, I **** at electrical. I have a vintage NOS Craftsman Motor I'm going to use on a vintage Craftsman 150 Drill Press. These are the specs:
Model: 113.19351
1/2 HP, 115v, 7.4amp, 60 cycle , 1725 RPM

2 Terminals to connect to, (1) yellow w/orange stripe wire, (1) green w/black stripe wire. Which wire is positive and which is negative?

AC electricity has no positive or negative. Instead its hot and neutral. If all u have is 2 wires, youre gonna need to look up the color code somehow. Im wondering if theres more wires in the j box....is there a schematic on the motor?

Edit: there was no pic when i commented.

Doesn't matter. However, your cord is missing a ground (green) wire that must be there, so re-do that and attach the ground to the motor's frame/body.
