Mounted some T8 for FREE!

I recieved nine T8 2 bulb troufers for free. They have plastic chrome reflectors. I hung 6 of them shown in attached pic. I plan to hang the other 3 above the door before winter comes.

The only downside is that they do not have cold weather balasts, these are good to 50°.

I also received the whips, boxes, and wire for free as well. I just had to buy some lumber and small things to get the job done.

I previously had 2 200W incandescents, which took 3.3amps. These 6 fluorescents draw 3.06 and put out waaay more light!!!

I see that you are in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. Could you pick up one of those '74 Fury police cars from me at the city police auction? I hear that they are practically giving them away. Make sure mine has the 440 Magnum.

Seriously, though. Skil tools is up in Mt. Prospect, isn't it? Is it one of the bigger employers up there? I have always wanted to visit Mt. Prospect, but the closest I ever got was when I went to a trade show in Chicago. Awesome pizza.

Funny you mentioned old Mopar police cars, Mt. P is opening a Blues Bar in the downtown area w/ the blues brothers car in the rafters. I have never heard of the auctions, but I’ll keep a look out.

Skil (Bosch) is about ½ mile down the road from me, and plan on applying in the near future (I’m a Mechanical Engineer). It would be nice to walk or ride a bike to work.

Pizza? Eat the stuff every Friday night, can’t beat Chicago deep dish!!!!
