Guys,
I bought my place a year and a half ago, and at the time all I had to do was to replace the siding on the garage, although the plan was to rebuild it altogether over time using the existing slab (detached). That was before the termites were found in the house.
The garage now has to wait. I live in the Southeast so humidity is pretty high here. A couple of weeks ago I opened my toolbox to find almost everything in it covered in condensation!:yikes:  In a CLOSED box! Is that supposed to be possible? The roof is metal, and the walls are bare T-111 over studs. Everything came out of an attached garage not far from here, but I never had this problem before. I've installed a new vent fan on the back, but it still seems muggy in there and my stuff is ruining. :Violent:

Thanks for your thoughts.
Dave

If the humidity is high enough, water will condense out the air with with decreased temps. The conditions were probably just right for that to happen.

I've opened by garage door after a rainy day and eventually the whole floor will be covered with condensate since the floor is cool and the hot humidy air that enters the garage is providing the moisture.

Insulate and moisture barrier. Keep the garage from getting humid and changing temperatures too quickly. That should help.
