The only thing wrong with the shed and house combo is working on anything automotive gas fumes ,carbon monoxide, noise ETC.
Mine was originally supposed to be a pole barn. However this is my forever home and I want it built sound. The builder said he was going to spray foam it. I asked what do you do between the roof metal and spray foam. He said just house wrap so the spray foam doesn't stick to the metal. So lets say 10 to 20years later I have a roof replaced if the contractor doesn't stand on a board he will fall thru my roof with no metal. I wanted it more secure so I asked the house be covered in OSB just like a normal house. So he asked if he could just stick frame the house instead of pole barn. I said that was fine builder asked for me to cover the difference $3500. Fast forward to the banker home inspector came to do a inspection and said this is not what we agreed on. I said yep that's on me I am paying the difference. The bank inspector said this changes everything. Now its a house with metal siding. The valve of the home just increased $15-$20k for an $3500 change. I was amazed
Just so I understand....the appraisal value on the shop/property increased by 15-20k with that change? Will that affect you negatively in any other way, than maybe RE taxes?
