From Sunny Southern California, it's only a rental in Uber-Suburbia (Corona CA), but still at least 50% more awesome than the 2 car garages I've had up until this point.

80'' of tool cabinet topped with a solid core door
8 feet of workbench topped with a solid core door
Lots of cheap kitchens I painted white
30 gallon compressor with retractable reel
Flat screen TV
Shop vac
I added 3 outlets on the wall, pulling power from the light switch (and it all works!)
Plenty of wall signs to cover up the white walls

I'm on the lookout for a cheap 5 gallon of "oops" paint from HD or Lowes in a color I can live with. The walls are the thinnest coat of white paint possible.

Nice. Renters are always torn between the non-recoverable expense and the enhanced enjoyment that comes with fixing up space to suit. From looking at the pictures and reading your post I think you have found the right balance. Suspect your landlord will want you to repaint when you move on. Particularly if you take the wall mounted cabinets with you.
