I gave $50.00 for this a while back.
seller said he used it a few times and the motor smoked, and wouldn't start.
never bothered to try to return it.
used this TEFC 1/4 HP motor I got for $20.00.
Drill press and new/used motor were like new.
here is You tube video.

Hey, not bad for $70 bubinga. :)

It's $260 new I think: http://www.harborfreight.com/heavy-duty-16-speed-bench-drill-press-38142.html

It came with a 3/4 HP motor originally though, so you might find it a little underpowered with the 1/4 HP.
yeah, l saw that last night, I thought it was the cheaper one at first,
but that was the 10" with the square table.
yeah, this is the $260.00 one.

have to see how this motor works out, but probably not doing nothing too heavy.

Looking good bubinga. Motor issues aside, how sturdy /quality does the unit seem?

i didn't check run-out, but seems to be pretty well made, about like a delta or porter cable, fit and finish seem pretty good,
I read reviews, on a few of them where the spindle pulley loosened up, (It's on a taper, and the pulley is tightened down on-to the taper)
but a few said the shaft snapped off when they tightened it, unless they tightened it down too much, or it was a QC issue with the shafts, of weak metal.
but hopefully I wont have issues with that .
probably best not to try to tighten it, unless it loosens up.
I had to tighten my delta with an impact, but it was on there pretty good,
as l had to use a puller to pop it off the taper.
But yes, all in all it seems to be pretty well made.
