My Recent Build

Specs: 36' x 26' w/ attic style trusses for storage above. Foundation was done fall of 2011 and then started building Oct. 2012. Siding was just finished this past weekend. Just need to get some paint on the exterior now. Interior is complete - insulated, ceiling and top half of wall - drywall, lower half of wall sanded plywood. Will post some pics of the interior soon.

Thanks. Very happy with the outcome. The only work I contracted out was the electric service to the building. Everything else I did myself, with the help of some family and friends !!!

Some more details and some interior pics. Footprint is 36' wide by 26' deep,
2x6 walls, center door is 10' wide and other two are 9' wide, all 8' hight, man door is 3', ceiling is 10', attic/storage trusses gave me useable area 36' x 11' via pull-down staircase. Walls and ceiling fully insulated for possible heat/ac down the road, full vinyl vented soffit and ridge vent, architectural shingles. All sheathing was plywood, no OSB. All ext trim done in Azek, wrapped in Tyvek and siding is Certainteed weatherboards fiber cement. Just need to paint exterior, clean interior and build some work benches and cabinets.

Okay..... finally got to do some "decorating" of my new garage. Built a couple work benches, moved most of the "garage stuff" out of the basement.

Both are around $6, but at least they are accurate flags of the Confederacy.
