Guess this belongs here...kinda! My house also supplies the shop water, so I can't wash my hands.
Today we lost water in the house. I check the breaker, nope not tripped. I check the pressure in the tank...0. I check the pressure switch, yep calling to water. Pull the head off the well, yep power to the leads. Figured the pump failed. Get to the hardware store 2 minutes before they close so I can buy a piece of pipe to pull the pump. Get home pull the pump and practically have a heart attack in the process. Run down to HD and buy a new pump. Get it all put back together, checked continuity of the wires before hand, tested the new pump, dropped it back in the well. New pump no work. WTF.
I grab the old pump and wire it to a welder plug in the shop...fires right up.
Guess I am pulling the pump again tomorrow. Good thing I dropped a gallon of bleach down the well before I sealed it up, those clothes will be junk.
