The bulk of Napa Silver filters (for gassers at least) are $2.50 right now.

In my cart right now:
SFL 31372 (fits most Ford mod motors) $2.50
SFL 31515 (fits most Ford Windsor-era motors) $2.50
SFL 31085 (fits a slew of Chrysler products from the '90s from Caravans to Rams) $2.50

Unfortunately neither of my local stores stock the Silver filters. They only carry the ProSelects in the pro packs (=shrink wrap instead of cardboard box). I'm gonna see if they'll order at these prices.

Oil snobs need not apply, for my beaters a filter is a filter.

My local store is ordering at these prices. Comes in on the morning truck just like everything else.

Good deal! The Jeep XJ uses the same filter, going for only $2.50! :3gears:

Yeah and don't guys also use the old PH8A/FL-1A too? I think that's the 31515 here: 7 filters for $20 even (plus tax of course)

Every filter says Made in USA on it. This doesn't necessarily mean they're fantastic filters, it just neutralizes any arguments about "watch out for COO on cheap filters"

I'm not ordering any now but in my opinion this is a good "service grade" filter at a great price. Hot Deal worthy indeed. I use a lot of these filters, nothing wrong with them.

I know BITOG has a wealth of info but here's some factory propaganda. From '13 so I'm not positive it's still accurate but the filter color (black) and labeling looks like what I just purchased. I mention this only because I ?think? the Silvers used to be painted white. I could be wrong.

Yes... This is a good basic oil filter. For $2.50-4.00 you can't go wrong.
