I've purchased a new home and looking to get my garage floor coated. I've gotten three quotes one was with national polymers product the other two elitecrete. the national polymers is significantly cheaper with a lifetime warranty and 5 years on the clear.

I will not be doing much heavy duty work in the garage besides simple car task. my wife's car and mine will be rolling in and out daily though.

the two quotes from the guys using elitecrete speak badly of the national polymers brand and i am just looking for some input on what makes one better than the other and if i need the best for a home garage with light work being conducted out of it.

thanks.

the quotes are as follows

750 sqft

2000 cash for national polymers
2675 cash for elitecrete
and 2800 cash for elitecrete

We are familiar with all of these products, and our Prep-Crete Installation company purchases all of them and is familiar with the pricing. There are only minor differences in the cost of the materials and they are both excellent quality. The price differences you are seeing is from the contractors based on their costs and markup, it's not in our opinion a material cost issue.

We would be wary of $2,000 for a 750 sq ft garage, that is well below market price so you may be getting what you paid for.

I almost never buy from someone who speaks poorly of their competitor. In most cases this is going to come down to the installer. Also keep in mind the warranty is going to be from the installer in most cases.
