Hi good news for me after harrassing the gas company one more time before i hooked up the recently bought oil heater they agreed to hang a meter for me, only problem is its 328 ft from the garage as the crow flys i cant do that i need to go alone the property lines and wind up with more feet of gas pipe .is there a lameins calculator out there that can figure out pipe size, im looking at a home heater forced hot air i need around 185,000 btus to heat my well insulated 30x80, ive pondered the home built waste oil as well as store bought but confirmed with insurance co they will drop my claim if theres a loss from it. I have way to much sweat and $ invested in there now. i also have the option of a higher pressure 2# from the gas co but then i would have to buy a reducer to reduce it down from the main house and the garage, not sure on cost of those compared to the cost of larger pipe with reg pressure . thks ps if this works out ill have a nice 186,000 btu #2 oil fired reznor for sale
