So I won an auction yesterday. I saw a tool stand that would work perfect for my garage... and on a whim I put in a $20 bid because I knew it was a $150ish piece. I was surprised this morning when I received the email invoice that I won. With fees and tax it was just over $15. Sweet.

But....

Upon further inspection by the pictures it looks like it's missing 2 of its 4 feet. I've looked and I can't find a supplier for the feet anywhere and I can't find any contact info on the manufacturer.... HTC the part number I believe is HTC HGP-12. I found a manual for another product that uses the same feet which are a part number 2893... but I can't find anyone selling them. I'm going to keep looking but wanted to see if anyone here had any ideas. I have zero metal working experience but they look like they wouldn't be too difficult to recreate.

Anyone have any ideas? (and no, I wasn't drunk when I bid)

Unscrew the foot, figure out the thread size and pitch, and how long. There are millions of options out there, a few less if it's metric.

I would guess if you do find a parts list somewhere, it'll cost more to buy the legs than the whole thing is worth. What fab capabilities do you have?

probably anything you buy will be more than the cost of the table. keep an eye out for a used commercial display stand or something that can be adapted... or find a local hobbyist that can work with metal and see if they would help you.
I'm thinking light gauge square tube welded in an cross pattern would be the easiest. If you lived close to me, A couple of coffees & some $ to cover the steel cost I would whip something up for you .

How about 2 longer pieces of angle iron, notched to cross each other, and bolted into 2 of the four sides. Notched with a PortaBand, Sawzall, or Hacksaw in decreasing order of pleasure.

Slightly eccentric to the table top, but easy, and in DIY range.

Even tackier, couple of pairs of 1,x4, screwed into a face each
Get fancy and taper them vertically from post to tip.

Add adjustable FEET at your leisure.

A strange story and one that I never understood, back 100 years or so, well it feels like it, I would buy a used machine and then give the folks at HTC a call at their factory and give them my machine dimensions and they would sell me one of their mobile bases for just that machine in question. I must say they built them for Sherman tanks just amazing quality. Then something happened and that's the part that I do not understand, it seems overnight they just stopped, oh sure you could get some flimsy four-square design, but gone were the days of that beefy roll cage designs.

Anybody out there can fill me in what happened to that company?
