i'd guess it's a kr 637

with the full width drop front.

the 537 had the narrow stack of drawers, with the small door covering them.

Crew, if you open the ebay link, they show a pic of it opened up. It does have the little side door and stack of 7 narrow drawers. It also looks like the current owner uses it as a dresser/hamper/clothes rack. :lol_hitti

Yep, that matches mine (last looked at 5 years ago)! It has the Peterbilt on the front as mine does. However, I never used it as a clothes hamper, and condition is 98%+ versus the eBay one.

Thanks again, appreciate all your help!

i stand corrected.

No worries crew, I figured as much
I think when I get finished fixing up the KR637 combo I got, I will just roll it into my room. Lets see. Socks on bottom, PJ's on the next drawer, shirts next drawer up. Gee I hope it will be able to handle the extreme weight I will put it under. :lol_hitti

Seriously I love when people want high dollar for their item, yet won't take the effort to actually provide some decent pictures.:headscrat

It seems these size boxes are sought after. The price depends on the shipping -- I bought a very similar set (657 / 637) that I found close by to home for about $550 for the set. It was listed as local pick up only - about 15 miles from home. When I picked it up from the seller he told me he had a steady stream of e-mails from people who wanted to buy it and work out shipping later. People offered him insane numbers to reconsider his shipping - like and extra 500 bucks over the winning bid....so if he is offering to put it on a pallet and ship, he may well get up there in price.....

I also have this kr-537a top box with the peterbilt on it. My question-does anyone know the story behind the peterbilt being put on these boxes? What years they were, etc.
thank you

that series of boxes seemed very popular for "limited edition" specials.

rick mears, peterbuilt, NFL football, nascar, harley davidson, and others i'm sure.

back in the day they were a very popular size box. they faded out in the mid-late 90's with the introduction of double and triple bank boxes.

the model # and date code should be stamped on the back of the box.

FWIW,
they arent my favorite series of boxes, dues to the narrow drawer configuration.

however, i have 2 set of them in my garage now...:dunno:
