Hi I am new to this site and would like to ask for some help. I would like to replace my existing thermostat with a programmable one but, am not sure what to ask for. I live in a condo so did not have the opton of what type of heat/ac unit I wanted installed. I have a heat pump. I would assume that I would have to look for one that has the settings for AUX & Emerg. heat included in the system. Can anyone help me with brand names to look for that would be compatible with this type of unit? Thank you in advance for your help.
I have a heat pump unit and the brand name on the thermostat is Robertshaw. That is about all I can tell you about it. A friend that is in the airconditioning business wired it up for me.
