HI
So my new garage build is 24 x 32 x 11 foot ceiling. On 1 of the long sides there are 2 garage doors, 1 on the opposite long side. Above this garage there will be living space (no access from garage). I plan on putting a radiant tube natural gas heater hanging from the ceiling, closer to the back of the garage (where the 1 garage door is). I've been told by a dealer that their residential unit which is 45,000 btu would be fine. This heater is just under 10' long and they've suggested I hang it ~2' from the back 32' long wall. I'm wondering about people's thoughts on this. While 45,000 btu sounds ok size-wize, I'm kind of thinking that either side of this unit will be fairly cool. Would I be better with a 24' long unit that has less "uncovered" space on either side? With 32' wide and 10' of heater, that leaves 11' on either side.
Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
