We are setting up our new powdercoating shop around 3000 sq ft of it will be epoxy. The floor is not in the best of shape and does have some cracks/rough surfaces. We plan on shotblasting the floor then coating it? Which coating would be best for our application. Were also looking for color ideas? The walls are all light gray so were thinking tan or blue on the floor with medium to heavy flakes and a clear coat. We will also be doing some auto repair on this floor and will have a few lifts.

Also does anyone know what the temp rating of the epoxy is?

Can we use it as our powder coating oven floor? 400 deg F?

WCC had a request for an epoxy to be used in an extremely hot environment - they had tried quite a few product previously and all failed, so WCC formulated one. It's doing the job without failure, so says the crematorium.

Eric also spent a few years at a company that developed a lot of powder coating technology and products, so he's very familiar with your requirements. I'll hit 'em up for recommendations.

Keep in mind the costs of those chips on something that size. A heavy broadcast can be quite expensive. Man some of the pics I have seen of the blue floors look great. I'm not sure it works for a residential garage but in your case it may look good.
