I am ready to upgrade the electrical to my attached garage... I know I need to add a bunch of outlets, a 220 outlet, and a lot of lighting as I only have two light bulbs. I have a lot of room in the breaker box to add more circuits and my dad has been doing electrical for 35 years is going to give me a hand....
What I am looking for is advice or things to think about.... Things maybe you wish you did or are glad you did? Tips? Suggestions?
I have an air compressor, sterio, natural gas furnace, computer, and power tools often running at the same time and right now it will sometimes trip the breaker, plug I need way more plug ins and lighting so it all needs to be upgraded... I mainly do auto mechanic work in the garage.
For lighting, what is better LED? Is it worth the cost given the power savings?
I will start researching this right now but I know there are some real pros on here so please lay out the advantages and disadvantages of LED... I would like to keep the cost down, but can justify spending more if it keeps the bills lower...
Thanks in advance!
