NEST Hello

It's a 1st gen product.
I'll be on my 3rd.

1st one - Wifi Went Bad
2nd One - Video sensor or video related dunzo....

Gosh. At least they don't give me gripe on replacements.

Any Nest Hello owners out there. Has it bee solid for you.
I've replaced alot of our smoke detectors with Protects. I like them.
Nothing else much in their lineup aside from their T-Stat

Ha. I wish they get the firmware right in the Hello in order to reboot it.
To do it, I must get to the breaker in which the Hello is tapped into and flip it to reboot the dang thing

I'm on my second unit, first the camera failed.
The app works about half the time and support is terrible at best.
Great marketing, poor execution.
It's a toy at best, I don't trust it to reliably let me know someone is at the door.
Had at least a half dozen missed notifications.
Sadly everything I've read is that Ring isn't any better.

If I was to do it again, I would get a nice PTZ camera and a local NVR.

We have a Nest E thermostat (the cheaper one), and it's been rock solid. Sounds like the Ring video doorbell might be a better item than the Nest Hello.

I'm opposite of alot of GJ's. I don't want ballz2wallz ip cams on my perimeter. I have a discreet dome by the garage and one in the rear running off a nvr off our NAS. The Nest is not a good PQ as a security camera but serves the niche for me on for covering porch pirates and such.
