Never used JA Swan gouges

I picked up a large box of chisels, bits, scrapers and planes this summer. Along with a Witherby set were these 2 gouges.

I'm almost positive these are brand new. The handles I had lying around.

Does anybody know what these might be worth? I don't have an immediate use for them and don't want to grind a bevel. Should I just hold onto them for now or what? Thanks

Those are great, I would think in the range of at least $30 each

NOS James Swan is a great score!

There was an Ebay seller awhile back that had a large lot of them.

I watched most of the auctions, and I'd say an average price of $45 per would be going rate on Ebay.

I've never seen virgin gouges before. Looks like a 1" and a 3/4". They can be ground as an inside or outside gouge so it would be good to keep them as virgins until that decision is made. Very cool.
