New Construction Garage Floor

I am halfway done building a new home and prior to moving in want to apply a coating of some sort on my new garage floor. It is a three car garage, about 1,100 square feet. I'd like a coating of some sort, likely gray, that will be durable for years to come. I am completely new to this so am looking for guidance on best products to consider and if someone knows a good installer for this in the New Braunfels, TX area, even better.

Were you thinking about epoxy, or something else?

I assume epoxy.

Look into a densifier and Ghostshield 8505 products. They repel the oil and salt. I used the 8505 and nothing sticks. They are a clear penetrant product.

Regardless of who you go with, if you are going with epoxy, lets make sure you get what you really need.


Floor prep. Preferably grinding.
Moisture Test
Primer
90% solids or better base coat.
Appropriate Broadcast (flake, quartz, etc)
High Quality urethane top coat (TL356, HD356, Etc. )


Other Options:

Two Coat Polyurea system
Rust Bullet

Obviously, if you decide to DIY it, we would love to help. Legacy has great products as does Armorpoxy. Best of luck and don't be afraid to ask LOTS of questions, especially if you hire a professional.
