Not an active participant with a lot of posts, but have been lurking and sponging ideas for about a year.

The demographics are, working stiff, an Equipment Engineer for a large cosmetics company. Love old cars and tools. Have more ideas or rather "visions" than I have time or money.

I was sent here over a year ago by some guys from another forum. I was looking for solutions and inspiration for my 32x47 shop. I built the shop in 1997, but never finished the inside, mainly because I didn't have a clue as to how I wanted it to be finished.

This is what I have in mind now! http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45022

If I spent as many hours working on my own project as I have sweating this thread, I'd be finished.

Thanks XcYZ for the visualization of what can be. Of course the colors will differ (I have a Green Car) and since the area is shared (my wife has Territorial rights to 25% of total square footage) there are variations not yet realized.:headscrat It's a work in progress.

The biggest hurdle has been reclaiming the space that became storage. Dumped some, donated some and sold some. Also set-up a Conex container as a tool room. That worked out really sweet.

Hell, that's enough chatter from me. Take a look.

Welcome to the GJ,I like your garage very much, I see a picture of an overhead crane and I am thinking very cool,I only wish I had those high ceilings!
My old neighbor had a 57 chevy and it was the (old lady driving to church scenario). Well to make a long story short around 1975 our dog went off the deep end barking and it turns out someone that night stole this mint cond. car! If only she had your garage...

Hey and thanks. Those images are from the begining of the purge. Have some progress pics since then, but I had issues loading them tonight. Something about a missing security token???

The 57 is my first car. Drove it in H.S. hoping to dive into that project after the shop.

Lynn

Here's the Conex tool room.

Thanks for the assessment. It helps to have "outside eyes" to see what one might have to work with. Sometimes I don't see what I look at everyday.
