new garage tile process

New house being built.
Want to tile the garage. Already picked out the tile and pattern.

Looking for advice on what to do when. Is any of this temperature dependant?

Vapor Lock - Thinking of using this first. How long should I wait till after the slabi s poured?

Densifier - is this needed if using vapor lock?

Which mortar? Platinum, megabond or Polymer Modified? Latex Additive?

Then using epoxy grout.

How much Mortar and grout for 750 sqft using 12x12 tiles?

What do you do int he corners? Caulk? build up grout?

Cannot help you with the rest, but there is no need to use a densifier.

You need the garage to be above freezing for the thinset to cure. I forgot the exact recommended temps, but it will be listed on the bag.

Do the moisture test before vapor lock. I don't know if you need it. If you had a fresh pour, they should have put a vapor barrier under it. If not you can vapor lock it.

I am pretty sure you do not need densifier.

Get the cheapest thinset.

Don't know how to figure out thinset and grout. Get an easy 8 bags.

I used about 5 kits of epoxy grout on a 400sqft garage. That **** is expensive.

I built up grout on the edges and corners, but I managed to have cut tiles at the edges, that way I only had a very minor space to fill. If you have huge gaps, grout them, but do it last. You don't want to be wasting a kit of epoxy grout to fill a 1" gap.
