Hello all. New to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I'm Greg and I live near Birmingham, Alabama. I found out about the forum in the Grassroots Motorsports (Magazine) forum.
I play with cars, mostly of the road racing variety, but also have started collecting future collectable sports cars. While my day job at the bank pays the bills, my wife and I flipped houses long before it became fashionable. With every house we bought, and had to live in to be able to afford, I'd evaluate it for that "dream car garage".
Currently, our home has a drive in basement garage where I store and work on 6 of my vehicles. However, as of Oct. 1, we are moving to a new house with a 60 X 75 shop building. I somehow get the feeling this will be the last house we buy!
Needless to say, I've been planning that dream shop for quite a while. Like a lot of you, I had become frustrated with not being able to find any good material on auto workshop layout and set up. So a year ago, long before this new property became available, I started a web site to document my quest. I got as far as the basic outline and site map before we started looking for the new place.
In the coming months, I hope to visit with you here often. I invite you to track my progress of outfitting my new shop on my web site:

I'm happy to have found this forum and hope that I will be able to contribute as much as I learn from it.
