Hello all,

I joined the forum a while back, and have been popping in every now and then, decided to finally post. I'm always doing something in my garage, but have been looking here for some info on floor installs, and found some good stuff. Garage is not anything special but it gets the job done, just wish it was bigger, doesn't everybody!!! I'm pretty sure I'll be back!!!
Thanks, CJ

Hey Leanna,
Curious about your Cuda, how long have you had it? It looks like FJ5 Sublime.
What motor and trans do you have in it? It looks very nice. I love Cuda's A and E Body types, wanted to find an E Body, 71 type but they are getting up there in price. My Road Runner is an FJ6 Sassy Grass Green car with a numbers matching 340 and 727 auto on the column, bench seat. Air Grabber was added, not original. I attached a couple of pics for your viewing pleasure!

I bought it April 9, 1991 for $250 and just celebrated 25 years of ownership. It's got a 340 too, a 727 with a reverse manual valve body (I have everything to turn it into a 4-speed except the guts to cut a bigger hole in my rust free floor lol), and too many mods to list here. It's 1970 LimeLight by the paint code with ultra fine gold metal flake added until I said 'when.' I love it like a second child.

Yours looks fabulous!!! I don't remember ever seeing a breather setup like that before.

If I wanted to do it all over again, there's no way I could afford it these days. All the flipper shows and televised auctions are simply killing the hobby in my opinion, driving up the prices of everything such that only the rich can follow their dreams. I've seen prices go up and down in my time but I think the days of $250 projects are long gone. At some point they added another zero or two on the end.

Your Cuda looks really nice, I bet the gold in that Limelight (I stand corrected Sub Lime is the Dodge color) paint really sets it off. I would be afraid to cut the hole also, then again I am the "keep it original" kind of person. I love the factory look, I don't mind adding options to a car but factory options only. The hood set up on my Roadrunner is a 1971/72 factory option "AIR GRABBER". They came on the B Bodies Road Runner/GTX, Charger/Super Bee, a totally fresh air set up. I also know what you mean about the prices, that is why I did not get a Cuda, way to much money any more!!!! I got the Road Runner for a lot less and have been trying to get it up a notch in the quality area. It is a nice car but needs a lot of minor detailing done to it to get it really nice. I may even need to get some work done on some pieces I have, and I really like the way your air cleaner lids and valve covers look. It will probably be over the winter months when the car is put up for the wonderful winters we have way up north here. On the prices and doing it all over again, I had a few cars years ago that if I were smart and kept I would be sitting on about a $200,000 investment, but who really knew what the prices were going to do, I am talking over 25 years ago, like when you got your Cuda. Well take care, nice chatting with you on the site. Trying to decide on some kind of flooring for my garage, don't want to spend an arm and a leg doing it either. See Ya!!! CJ
