Hey everyone, I've been lurking around the site for nearly a week now reading all sorts of posts, the wife says I'm obsessed. Usually I will read a forum and not join unless I feel it's some place I enjoy but I've read a lot of great posts on here and it seems to be rather friendly.

Little about me, I'm 32, married with now three children (my new daughter was born this evening a big 21.5" and 9lbs 12.5oz). And due to the family I don't get to do the things I used to or would like to always do. Currently I work at a financial institution but I've done all types of work including mechanical and even painted assembles for locomotives.

I'm a automotive enthusiast to the bone. Trucks, cars, motorcycles or all types. I love classic and rare cars but respect most cleanly put together vehicles. I also love to see creative custom work, not just a vehicle and a maxed out PepBoys credit card. I'm the founder of a small enthusiast club with three chapters and we have hosted a gathering for a automotive forum for the past 7 years that has attracted people from all over the US and Canada. In the past I've owned a lot of different cars including six GM F-Bodies both 2nd and 3rd generations, and a Buick Grand National. Currently I own a '01 Chevrolet Xtreme pickup that is my project truck, and my daily driver is a '02 Sentra SE-R SpecV. I also own a '05 Yamaha R1 I purchased new and still love like the first day I got it. And or family ride is a '08 Altima that we got new and is slowly getting very minor things done to it. I also have a little toy hauler for the bike, a 5x8' enclosed trailer that I painted years ago and the then expired paint is still looking good. lol

Now, my garage. It's a small one car garage with a attached walk-thru shed on the back. The shed was built for my snowblower, lawn mower and other lawn equipment but it now also houses my tool box and storage cabinets for my tools. The rest of the tiny garage is loaded with projects and parts like a spare truck bed, Vortec 4.3 on a stand, seats, my work bench, six bicycles, powerwheels, wagon, and other random kids toys. We plan on selling out house in the spring and looking for a larger one for our expanding family. I'm hoping the next will have a larger garage or at least space for me to build a larger garage.

Here are some photos.

Well the truck is dubbed "FrankenDime" (I'll upload my signauture soon), because it uses a lot of different GM parts.

The headlights are '07+ Tahoe/Avalanche lights, the grill is from a '06+ TrailBlazer, tail lights are upside down Colorado lights, mirrors are from a '92-'98 Grand Am, I also have Sunfire seats, '99+ Grand Am dash and center console for it along with a few other items waiting to go in like a 30"x32" sunroof. Not to mention the one off stuff like the rear bumper that was chopped down and tucked and smoothed, it and will soon be welded to the body. Front bumper is hand laid fiberglass and styled like the original Xtreme airdam but cover the bumper plus the addition of the lower opening. If things go well I hope to get some 20" wheels for it and get it down lower with some airbags before the body is finished and painted. Right now it's all pretty much just roughed in for fabrication.

Also already started gathering parts to build a matching open tag along trailer for it. The enclosed trailer really ***** to pull on the highway long distances because my highway mileage goes from 20 or 21mpg to about 11 or 12mpg.

I'm from upstate, Albany NY.
