Done lurking, actually registered this time.
I am in Central Florida and have a 3 car garage (two cars and a motorcycle) attached to the house. It's too full, but I am actually working on all of the projects inside.
I also have a house up on the Eastern Shore in Virginia with two two car garages. One is new, with an office and high doors. I just got it, so I have been trolling around here for the proper way to finish out the man castle. One detail has perplexed me. The builder built the roof with a high pitch, but he used 2x4 trusses on 16 inch centers for the top, so I can't really set up stairs (even pull down ones) to access the rafter area for storage. I am nervous about boxing out a stairwell in tension trusses. Will I regret it if I cut a truss?
