New Guy

Hey Guys and Gals,
My name is TJ. I am currently in the process of purchasing my first house which has a large one stall attached garage and an 864sq ft detached 2 stall with a workshop. I found this forum while searching for info on Ucoat it. Well after some reading I decided that that wasn't the product for me. After looking at all of my options I decided to talk to a buddy of mine who does tile work and come to find out he does industrial epoxy installs. So it turns out I will be getting a great floor for a killer price .

Anyway I will probably have a lot of questions as I am looking to do quite a few things to make it mine and to store my toys in.

Here are the toys I will be keeping in the garage.

I was born and raised in GR on the northeast end, now a Byron Center guy.

Gotta ask - the dragstrip in the pic above doesn't look like Martin. Where abouts was the picture taken?

I usually go to Martin but that was a weekend trip to Norwalk Ohio back when it was called Norwalk and not Summit Motorsports Park. The car ran the fastest it ever did there and dead hooked. It went 12.1 at 116mph with a stock engine with a stock appearing turbo.

I have to ask, do you know many of the car guys around here? I usually head up to Dawg Dogs on the weekends but haven't made it out this year.

I know a handful of guys out here on the south end & out towards Jenison. Dawg Dogs over on Wilson? I've only been there a couple of times.

The Mrs and I used to hit Mr C's over at 44th & Clay on the weekends for ice cream and to look at some cars.

Either way, Dawgs or C's, we keep a low profile with my little Beetle and it's whopping 45 horse power.

I'm probably dating myself here, but I go back to the days of the "Blood Bank" (the parking lot in front of Roger's Plaza).

I remember that but I was a dumb punk kid back then and hung out on the wrong side of the parking lot

Beetles are sweet, my father in-law has a flat white lifted one that has sat in the garage for years and never moves.
