My name is Nick. I've been a long time lurker but I finally decided to join the forum since I have some potential home / garage renovations in the works for summer 2018 and I'd like to get some feed back.

I am a new dad. Love working on my cars. Specifically an E34 M5 and an 80 series Landcruiser.

Hi Nick -
You inspired me to post as well. I've been browsing GarageJournal for a while but have never posted. I've been in the process of trying to build a detached shop/garage in my backyard. Finding a contractor to work on this kind of project hasn't been easy and the one that I've been working with gave me an initial bit of around $65K. A little more than I was expecting for a 21 x 27 garage. I'm now considering trying to build it myself. Anyway, welcome. I'm also a BMW guy, currently have a 97 318ti. I'm looking forward to space for more project cars.
