New to the forum. Came across it while Googling tools. Where have you guys been hiding? :)
I'm a Moderator on the KawasakiForums site, and am on several Land Rover (No; not those new fancy things. I prefer the older ones.) forums. I'm 52, and am employed as a Maintenance-Dispatch Supervisor for a long haul trucking company. I enjoy doing my own vehicle maintenance and rebuilds, as well as discussing and learning what creative solutions are out there.
I got my wrenching chromosome from my grandfather, who was one of those Burt Munro (Fastest Indian) types who could fix what was there, or create what wasn't. I also got most of his old hand tools (because I was the "wrench" of the family.) Gramps has "been there" for many of my late night repair jobs in the garage. I've laughed out loud too many times when I understand why he owned "multiples" of certain tools. He passed when I was 7 years old. His cologne was cutting oil and Camels. His shop was a smelly, magical place to me. Some memories never fade, and I hope that one never does.
I enjoy an afternoon of cleaning, sharpening, oiling, or using tools, probably more than other kinds of entertainment most guys seem to prefer. (I think I'm under my Rover probably more than I'm in it--my wife will agree.) I'm glad to be aboard, and am actually relieved to know there are other guys just like me out there!! Any and all communication is welcomed

AUUUUUUGGHHHH!!!! I LOVE 7's. Properly set-up; those things are like riding on rails (and in capable hands, can STILL beat the young punks.)
VERY nice!

I'm only a good excuse for a motorcycle ride away from you. You can come check them out any time you want as well. I'll look into KawasakiForums if you look into Ohio Riders....
