Hi everyone, I'm from north western on old continent and just joined, My first post...but not my last I hope.
My favorite brand is FACOM.

But not just this brand, I like Snap on but it's very difficult to find in europe.
Find the Facom vintage tools in good condition is easier for not much money.

In this time , my hobbie find a very strong ratchet with a big number of teeth engaged, more if are they small and less if the teeth are big.

Below a example of ratchet Gedore, the possibility to make many big teeth engaged but finaly Gedore have just chosen one teeth ��, the second teeth isn't really engage.

I known the brand Armstrong and the Maxx 11-994 ⅜” like good. A single pawl that engages 11 teeth at a time

If you any other idea with more than nine teeth engage. Thank you.

An example of ratchet with 17 teeth engaged exploit by the brand Beta the 920/55X.
But a part of the teeth have a small hight : 9 teeth. But a part of the teeth have a small hight : 9 teeth. Without this difference, it was more strong.

Welcome to the board! I've never seen a Facom tool with my own two eyes. Hope to hear more about what they do best from a native perspective.

This question is difficult with Snap On in comparaison.
The Facom ratchets have a good reputation.
The wrench and the sockets are good.

For the other tools, I prefer the vintage Facom tools made in France.
Since 2004 Facom production is made in Taïwan.
The tools produced between 1960 from 1990 are more strong, sometime extremely strong.

Many of garage have some Facom tools, harshly used, with a extension tube during twenty or thirty years. The guy who will break this tools, will not be forget and named Hercule or Superman as a joke.

A view one very old Facom tools, an adjustable wrench, size for bolt of 30 mm. The first Facom production was only the adjustable wrench during 2 years in 1918 and only for the railway. On the bigger type it was written 120 mm, this wrench had a weight of seventeen kilos.
