I guess everyone has to start somewhere, right?
I'm in the process of moving into a 1 bedroom basement apartment, that includes it's own driveway and tiny one-car garage.
It's far from ideal, but at least I'll have a place to keep my Volvo out of the weather, and maybe do some light maintenance. The washer/dryer on the back wall eats up a lot of depth, but those were included with the unit. I could buy a stacked set and get a couple more feet of depth. The door on the left wall opens into the apartment.
It's enough space to keep the car stored safely, but not so much additional space that I'll acquire more parts, tools, and junk. Not having much room to work means I'll probably keep the car in one piece and drive it more, rather than constantly taking things apart to fiddle around.
Future Inhabitant: 1967 Volvo 122s. I haven't tried getting it in there yet, but it should fit with a couple inches to spare. And even then the door to the dryer will the blocked shut by the car! It's saving grace is that it's a very narrow car, saving some width to walk by the car and to the door.
