Retired Navy aircraft mechanic, mostly rotary, but some fixed-wing work too.

May I suggest you update your profile with a better location other than detached as in future you may find that helps you when you have questions that affect you. Specially given the forum has a very global membership. Often you will find subjects may get different answers depending on locations and regulations.
