newbie with first post/ac heating

been looking a while ,first post.my name is gary,live in north louisiana i have a ac an heat question.my shop is 18x24 post building with cedar siding,need best way to insulate,so i can put ac in,any suggestion will be helpful,thanks again

Hey Gary. I am down in Lafayette.

Looks like you have a nice shaded lot. Cheapest route would be fiberglass batts since your walls are not covered. Spray foam would be a good option to deal with our heat and humidity but can be pricey.

Not sure what particular questions you have. I installed a minisplit unit in my garage and I am happy with the performance even though I accidentally undersized it. I also added foam board to my garage door for insulation. That worked well as the sun is directly shining on my door for much of the day.
