Building a 20 x 16 outbuilding which will also act as a pool shed with the pool equipment outside.
Pool pump (variable speed 230V, 11 amps max draw) and lighting main usage from the sub panel, it's not a workshop but would like to have enough capacity to run a 120V, 15A power tool if needs arise.
30 amp from main breaker to sub panel should be adequate for my needs.
The cable run from main panel to sub panel is approx 250feet.
I figure I need a 6/3 cable to keep the voltage drop tolerable and the cable will be 2 foot below grade sitting on 3" of sand.
The main question I have is should I use a NMWU direct burial copper cable or a RWU copper cable? I am inclined to go with NMWU but would appreciate any info on why I might want to or need to use RWU instead . I am in Ontario.
